Tai Yin belongs to the Tian Fu group and always sits 1 box forward from Tian Fu, so its distance from Tian Fu never changes and it forms only six combinations with the other major stars.

What to check first when reading Tai Yin
Tai Yin works the opposite way to Tai Yang: it likes the night positions, strongest in You, Xu, Hai and Zi, and falls in Mao, Chen and Si. It pairs with Tai Yang (together in Chou and Wei) and turns thoughtful with Tian Ji and gentle with Tian Tong. Hua Lu, Hua Quan and Hua Ke are all common for it; Hua Ji means feelings bottled up and friction with family or older women.
