Qi Sha brings nerve and drive, and a firmness that does not turn back once decided.
Where Qi Sha sits on the chart
Qi Sha belongs to the Tian Fu group and always sits 6 boxes forward from Tian Fu, so its distance from Tian Fu never changes and it forms only six combinations with the other major stars.

Transformations of Qi Sha
In the Complete Book ten-stem table this site uses, Qi Sha never becomes Lu, Quan, Ke or Ji. When you read Qi Sha, look at the transformations of the stars sharing or facing its palace, and at the two palaces flanking it.
What to check first when reading Qi Sha
Look first at the other two members of the trio: Qi Sha is always in a three-harmony position with Po Jun and Tan Lang, so wherever it lands, that triangle carries change. Qi Sha has more exalted and strong positions than any other major star and never transforms, so read it through its partner Zi Wei, Wu Qu or Lian Zhen, and through Tian Fu opposite, which steadies it. With Zi Wei (Si and Hai) it has authority, with Wu Qu (Mao and You) it is hardest, with Lian Zhen (Chou and Wei) it works hardest.

How we counted: this site’s engine cast one Zi Wei chart for every day from 1960 to 2005 (birth hour drawn by a fixed-seed random sample), 16,802 charts in all. These figures describe how chart structures are distributed; they do not measure anyone’s fortune.

Qi Sha is about independence and breaking new ground. It can come across as decisive and direct, which is not the same as bad-tempered. Qi Sha people dislike being managed; give them room and a target and they are often the best fighters on the team.
