Tian Tong in the Life Palace: What the Star of Blessings Says About You

Tian Tong is the star of blessings. People with Tian Tong in the Life Palace are easy-going, optimistic and fond of comfort, well liked and averse to conflict; they come across as easy to be around and unpretentious. They have a knack for relaxing the mood in a room and know how to enjoy life.

The Tian Tong personality

Tian Tong has a particular saying: “bitter first, sweet later”. A Tian Tong whose road is too smooth tends to drift and lack ambition; it is the Tian Tong who struggled when young, who was pushed by circumstances, that really grows capable. When you read a Tian Tong chart, look for Hua Quan, Hua Ji or a Sha star to give it a push.

A bright Tian Tong is fortunate, good-humoured and well liked. A fallen or weak Tian Tong tends to bottle up feelings, wanting peace yet often running into disputes. The classics call the pair in Zi “clear water and cassia blossom”, both stars strong, a very fortunate arrangement; in Wu neither star is strong, emotions tend to be held in, and love has more ups and downs. Tian Tong with Ju Men (Chou or Wei)

Chou: Tian Tong weak, Ju Men weak; Wei: Tian Tong weak, Ju Men weak. Opposite: empty; Wealth: empty; Career: Tian Ji. About 15.5% of people with Tian Tong in the Life Palace fall into this group.

The star of blessings with the dark star: both are weak in Chou and Wei, and inside there is often an unspoken grievance and inner conflict, wanting peace yet running into disputes. These people feel things deeply and suit work that needs careful communication; the lesson is not to keep emotions bottled up, and not to let suspicion colour relationships. Tian Tong with Tian Liang (Yin or Shen)

The star of blessings with the shelter star: gentle, empathetic and caring, suited to service, healthcare, education, social work and public service. It belongs to the Ji-Yue-Tong-Liang family and does best in a stable organisation. Tian Tong is strong in Shen and fair in Yin, while Tian Liang is exalted in Yin and fallen in Shen, so each position has its trade-offs; the lesson is ease and a reluctance to compete. Tian Tong, only neutral in Mao or You, with Tai Yin opposite: gentle, attentive to feelings, artistic. These people tend to be relaxed and go with the flow, and often need a push from circumstances before they really try. With Tian Tong in Mao, Tai Yin opposite in You is strong, so the borrowed Tai Yin is helpful; with Tian Tong in You, Tai Yin opposite in Mao is fallen, and low moods come more easily.

• Tian Tong with Hua Lu (born in a Bing year): Tian Tong with Hua Lu is blessing on blessing: goodwill and money both flow, though it is also more tempted to settle for the status quo. In our sample, about 9.9% of people with Tian Tong in the Life Palace have the birth-year Hua Lu there.
• Tian Tong with Hua Quan (born in a Ding year): Tian Tong with Hua Quan gives the blessing star opinions and drive; one of the arrangements where Tian Tong does its best work. In our sample, about 9.7% of people with Tian Tong in the Life Palace have the birth-year Hua Quan there.
• Tian Tong with Hua Ji (born in a Geng year): Tian Tong with Hua Ji wants peace but often finds things not going its way, and keeps feelings inside. How we counted: this site’s engine cast one Zi Wei chart for every day from 1960 to 2005 (birth hour drawn by a fixed-seed random sample), 16,802 charts in all. These figures describe how chart structures are distributed; they say nothing about whether anyone’s destiny is good or bad.
