BaZi Chart Structure Terms: Direct Officer to Jian Lu, Follow, Transformation and Dominant
A chart structure is the main axis of a chart, taken from the month command. This group collects the eight Zi Ping structures, Jian Lu and Yang Blade, and the special follow, transformation and dominant-element structures.

- A follow structure (cong ge) is a special structure in which an extremely weak Day Master with no root or Resource follows the chart's dominant force, or an extremely strong one with almost nothing draining it goes with its own strength. Read more →
- Transformation structure 化氣格
- A transformation structure (hua qi ge) is a special structure in which the day stem combines with the adjacent month or hour stem and truly transforms, with the new element commanding the month, backed up and unattacked, and the Day Master rootless. Read more →
- Dominant-element structure 專旺格
- A dominant-element structure (zhuan wang ge) is a special structure in which the Day Master's element commands the month, the branches gather into it, and no Officer appears; named Qu Zhi, Yan Shang, Jia Se, Cong Ge or Run Xia, it goes with its dominant force. Read more →
