BaZi wealth luck reads the Wealth star, the element your Day Master controls, and whether you are strong enough to carry it. More Wealth stars does not mean more money; strength and favorable elements decide. Read more →

Wealth vault 財庫

A wealth vault (cai ku) is the storage branch that holds your Wealth element. Narrowly it is that element's own vault, such as Chou for Metal Wealth or Wei for Wood Wealth; broadly, any Chen, Xu, Chou or Wei. Read more →

Heavy Wealth, weak Day Master 財多身弱

Heavy Wealth, weak Day Master (cai duo shen ruo) describes a BaZi chart whose Wealth star is too strong for a weak Day Master to carry. The classics call it a rich house with a poor owner; Peers and Resource are the cure. Read more →

Six relations 八字六親

In BaZi, the six relations (liu qin) read parents, siblings, spouse and children through the Ten Gods, together with the year, month, day and hour pillar palaces, to see the shape of each family bond. Read more →

Pillar palaces 四柱宮位

The pillar palaces assign each of the Four Pillars to relatives and a stage of life: the year pillar to ancestors, the month to parents and siblings, the day branch to the spouse, the hour to children, running from childhood to later life. Read more →

Exam luck 考運

In BaZi, exam luck is the support luck and annual pillars give to study: a year bringing favorable Resource or Output, or an Academic Star branch, helps; a Wealth year damaging Resource calls for guarding against distraction. Read more →

A learning type sums up a person's main drive and method of study from the heaviest Ten God group in a BaZi chart: Resource is accumulating, Output understanding, Officer goal-driven, Peers peer-driven, Wealth practical. Read more →

BaZi compatibility 八字合婚

BaZi compatibility compares two charts across three layers: how the day pillars and spouse palaces generate or control each other, whether the two useful elements complement, and whether the luck cycles keep a similar rhythm. Read more →

Marriage timing 婚期

Marriage timing is the span in which a chart is most likely to settle into marriage. It is read from the years in which the spouse palace or spouse star is clashed or combined by the luck cycle, with Day Master strength shaping early or late. Read more →

The destined partner 正緣

The destined partner is the person a long-term relationship is built with, while peach blossom is the heat of attraction. BaZi reads the two from different stars, so strong peach blossom does not mean the real thing has arrived. Read more →

Peach blossom months 桃花月

Peach blossom months are the months in which the calendar reaches the peach blossom branch of a chart, when social and romantic luck usually runs high. That branch is derived from the year or day branch. Read more →

BaZi work compatibility compares two charts: which Ten God each Day Master is to the other, whether each person’s element is favorable for the other, and how the Day and Month pillars interact, to show who leads, who gains, and where friction lies. Read more →

Favorable-element match 喜用互補

Favorable-element match means each person’s Day Master element, or the main element of their chart, falls on the other’s favorable elements, so each supplies the energy the other needs. It is about favorable elements, not about which element a chart is missing. Read more →

Movement signal 八字的「動」

A movement signal in BaZi is a year’s sign of change, usually one of three: the year branch clashes the month pillar, the year branch is the Traveling Horse, or a new luck pillar begins. Change is likely, not a guaranteed job switch. Read more →

Parenting by the Ten Gods uses the heaviest Ten God group in a child's BaZi to suggest the kind of communication and encouragement they take in most easily. It describes a tendency; how the child actually responds comes first. Read more →
