Tai Yang (the Sun) and Tian Liang (the Elder) share a palace in Mao and You. In Mao both stars are exalted and the sun is just rising in the east, which the old texts call “the sun shining on the Gate of Thunder,” describing someone upright and open who easily gains a reputation. In You, Tai Yang is only neutral and Tian Liang favorable; the sun is already setting, the warmth is still there, but staying power has to be supplied more by themselves. Tian Liang is the star of the elder and the sheltering star, governing oversight, protection and principle; Tai Yang governs openness and giving. What is Yang Liang Chang Lu, and is it related to ENFJ?
The old texts call it “Yang Liang Chang Lu” when Tai Yang, Tian Liang, Wen Chang and Lu Cun meet in the Life Palace's triangle and opposite palace, traditionally used to describe smooth exam luck and official honors. It is about how stars meet and has no direct relation to MBTI type. Not everyone with Tai Yang + Tian Liang in the Life Palace forms the pattern, and forming it only indicates a tendency favorable to study and exams, not a guarantee.
Do people with Tai Yang + Tian Liang in the Life Palace meddle too much?
They do have that tendency. Tian Liang governs oversight, Tai Yang governs openness, and their J is high, so seeing something unreasonable, they find it hard not to say something. The upside is that they are upright and reliable; the downside is that they are easily taken as lecturing. If they turn “reminding” into “asking,” the same care is more easily received.
