Tian Liang alone (opposite Tai Yang) × MBTI: closest to ENFJ
Tian Liang alone (opposite Tai Yang) is one of the sixty Life Palace star groups in Zi Wei Dou Shu and appears in the Zi and Wu branches. First we look at how these stars behave in Zi Wei, then where they land on the four MBTI axes, and finally we set the two systems side by side.
Tian Liang alone (opposite Tai Yang) in Zi Wei
Tian Liang (the Elder) sits alone in Zi or Wu, exalted in both, a very capable position for Tian Liang. In Zi Wei, Tian Liang is the "shelter star," meaning it can protect others and is often helped along by elders; the character is mature beyond its years with a sense of justice, and speaks up when it sees unfairness. Tai Yang is across, and here the two branches differ a lot. With Tian Liang in Zi, the opposite Tai Yang is in Wu, the Sun at midday, and strong; with Tian Liang in Wu, the opposite Tai Yang drops to Zi at midnight, fallen and without light. The first finds its care and responsibility easily seen and gains a reputation; the second is just as warm-hearted, but gives mostly behind the scenes, and the returns come slowly.

What sets Tian Liang opposite Tai Yang apart from a typical ENFJ is that "elder" quality. Where Zi Wei and MBTI differ
- Zi and Wu: one bright, one dark
- Within the same Tian Liang opposite Tai Yang, Tai Yang is strong when Tian Liang is in Zi and fallen when it's in Wu, which decides whether the giving gets seen. MBTI has only one ENFJ and won't split into "front stage" and "backstage" versions because the birth hour differs by two hours.

- MBTI's ENFJ is clearly extraverted; this group actually ties on E/I, with Tai Yang pulling outward and Tian Tong, Tai Yin and Tian Ji pulling inward. Zi Wei allows a person to be lively in public yet need lots of time alone, without forcing a side.

Is Tian Liang better in Zi or in Wu?
Tian Liang is exalted in both and equally capable; the difference is the Tai Yang across. Tian Liang in Zi faces a strong Tai Yang in Wu, so its giving is easily seen; Tian Liang in Wu faces a fallen Tai Yang in Zi, with more hard work behind the scenes. Neither is a bad arrangement; the pace of recognition just differs.
Why are people with Tian Liang opposite Tai Yang often called busybodies?
Tian Liang's nature is to shelter others, so when it sees someone about to make a mistake it can't help speaking up. In ENFJ terms, the concern for others' growth is very strong. This warmth is a strength; just ask first whether the other person wants to hear it, then decide how much to say, and you're less likely to be seen as nagging.
