Wen Qu is also a literary star, but it leans toward talent, eloquence, music, art and feeling, livelier and more expressive than Wen Chang.

How Wen Qu is placed
Wen Qu is placed by the birth hour: start the Zi hour at Chen and count forward to your birth hour; wherever you stop, that is Wen Qu’s palace.

The table was worked back from real charts cast by this site’s engine, the same rules as the chart tool. Zi Wei changes years at Chinese New Year, and births after 23:00 count as the Zi hour of the next day.
Wen Qu and Wen Chang
Wen Qu and Wen Chang share a palace only for people born in the Mao and You hours; in every other hour they are apart. In our sample, about 2.9% of people have the Life Palace flanked by Wen Chang and Wen Qu, one on each side.

How is Wen Qu different from Wen Chang?
Wen Chang leans toward formal learning and paperwork, Wen Qu toward talent, eloquence and feeling. They are usually read together as the Chang-Qu pair.
How common is Wen Qu in the Life Palace?
