Tian Yue is the “yin patron”, standing for patrons in private, informal settings and among peers; tradition also calls it the female patron. Its help often arrives when you least expect it.

How Tian Yue is placed
Tian Yue is placed by the birth-year stem: each stem points to a fixed palace, which never changes for life. Tian Yue and Tian Kui are set by the same stem.

The table was worked back from real charts cast by this site’s engine, the same rules as the chart tool. Zi Wei changes years at Chinese New Year, and births after 23:00 count as the Zi hour of the next day. Tian Yue never falls in Zi, Chou, Mao, Chen, Wu, Xu and Hai.
Tian Yue and Tian Kui
Tian Yue and Tian Kui never share a palace. In our sample, about 3.4% of people have the Life Palace flanked by Tian Kui and Tian Yue, one on each side.

How we counted: this site’s engine cast one Zi Wei chart for every day from 1960 to 2005 (birth hour drawn by a fixed-seed random sample), 16,802 charts in all. These figures describe how chart structures are distributed; they do not measure anyone’s good or bad fortune.
