Tian Tong (the Contented One) and Tian Liang (the Elder) sit together in the Yin and Shen branches, a core member of the Ji-Yue-Tong-Liang family of patterns. The old texts say this kind of setup suits working within a system; today that means civil service, education, social work and professional services, places that value care and standards. Tian Tong brings harmony and empathy, Tian Liang an elder's attentiveness and principles. People in this group are often the friend who remembers who's been having a hard time and quietly checks in.
Brightness in the two branches is exactly reversed.
