When Is Qixi Festival? Dates for 2025–2035
Qixi is day 7 of the 7th lunar month, when the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl of legend meet once a year; today it is also treated as a Chinese Valentine's Day. In Taiwanese folk religion it is the birthday of Qiniangma, the Seven Star Mother.

The two stars stay a fixed 34 degrees or so apart. They do not come closer on Qixi; that part is myth.

The Chinese calendar is lunisolar: months follow the moon, and festivals and lunar birthdays are counted by it. BaZi does not use lunar months, though. Its year changes at the Start of Spring and its months at the solar terms, and a chart is cast from the Gregorian birth date and time.
