Common Dragon Boat Festival customs in Taiwan
- Zongzi: northern-style zongzi are usually made with stir-fried rice and steamed, southern-style ones with raw rice and boiled.
- Dragon boat races are held all over the island.
- Hanging mugwort and calamus, wearing fragrant sachets.
- Noon water: some people collect water at midday and keep it.

Any egg with small bumps on its shell will stand on a level surface on any day of the year. The festival has nothing to do with it.

The Chinese calendar is lunisolar: months follow the moon, and festivals and lunar birthdays are counted by it. BaZi does not use lunar months, though.
