Wu Qu + Po Jun × MBTI: closest to ESTP
Wu Qu + Po Jun is one of the sixty Life Palace star groups in Zi Wei Dou Shu and appears in the Si and Hai branches. First we look at how these stars behave in Zi Wei, then where they land on the four MBTI axes, and finally we set the two systems side by side.
Wu Qu + Po Jun in Zi Wei
Wu Qu (the General of Wealth) and Po Jun (the Vanguard) sit together in the Si and Hai branches. Both stars are only neutral, and the two branches are identical. Wu Qu is the wealth star and Po Jun the spending star; one wants to gather and the other to scatter, and the old texts often say Wu Qu + Po Jun means money comes and goes, with a life of ups and downs. In personality, these people are bold, loyal and blunt, chafe at restraint and like building something from scratch. But neither star is in a strong position, so their power is not pure, and drive sometimes gets ahead of planning.
The opposite palace holds Tian Xiang at favorable strength, sending rules and a sense of proportion from across the chart, so Wu Qu + Po Jun at least thinks about consequences before a big move. The Wealth Palace holds Lian Zhen + Qi Sha: money has to be earned through hard work and tough battles. The Career Palace holds Zi Wei + Tan Lang: ambitious in career, with wide social reach and a wish to be the one in charge. The triangle weaves together the Sha-Po-Lang group and Zi Wei, so life usually has several large shifts; changing careers, changing cities and starting over are not unusual. Sensing 1.25, a moderate lean to S. Wu Qu subtracts 2 points and Tian Xiang opposite 0.5; Po Jun +1 likes imagining new setups, and Zi Wei + Tan Lang in Career adds 0.25, pulling part of it back.

Perceiving 0.37, close to the middle. Po Jun -2 wants change, and the Wealth and Career Palaces also lean slightly P; Wu Qu +1 and Tian Xiang opposite +1 pull it back. This site classifies it as P, but these people are far from chaotic.
Reading Wu Qu + Po Jun in ESTP terms
In ESTP terms, Wu Qu + Po Jun leads with extraverted Sensing (Se): quick reactions, willing to take risks, and happiest solving problems on the spot. Rather than sitting down to draft a plan, they trust adjusting as they go. Supporting introverted Thinking (Ti) gives them their own standards; when someone says it can't be done, they want to know exactly why.
Compared with Wu Qu + Tan Lang, also an ESTP, Wu Qu + Po Jun lacks Tan Lang's smoothness and has a higher T score: blunter in speech, harder in action. Po Jun also makes them more inclined to tear down and rebuild, with little interest in slowly finding opportunities within an existing setup. P is only 0.37, and the sense of proportion from Tian Xiang opposite is still there. So a common pattern is: they seem to follow the rules most of the time, but once they decide to change, they overturn everything.

- Act first, talk later
- Po Jun's drive plus the ESTP's extraverted Sensing: both describe someone who dislikes waiting. When planning drags on, they want to jump in and try it.
- No patience for empty talk
- Wu Qu is practical and ESTPs value the concrete. Both frameworks point out that this group doesn't care for theory or slogans; they ask "What can we do now?" and "What will it achieve?"
- Tied down, they want out
- Po Jun chafes at restraint, and ESTPs need room to act. An environment with too many layers and too many reports quickly makes this group want to move on.
Where Zi Wei and MBTI differ
- Neutral stars, less pure power
- Zi Wei uses brightness levels from exalted to fallen to describe a star's condition; Wu Qu + Po Jun is only neutral in both Si and Hai, so both the strengths and weaknesses of the personality show more. MBTI describes only the direction of a preference, not whether that preference is stable.
- The old saying: money comes and goes
- Zi Wei speaks directly about Wu Qu + Po Jun's financial swings: when the wealth star meets the spending star, money comes in fast and goes out fast. MBTI doesn't address money, so to understand that side, this group has to go back to Zi Wei.
- Periods can settle Wu Qu + Po Jun
- When Wu Qu + Po Jun enters a decade period ruled by the Tian Fu/Tian Xiang stars, there is often a stretch when they are especially willing to settle down, save money and build relationships. MBTI usually treats ESTP as a lifelong preference and doesn't talk about ten-year rhythms.

Can people with Wu Qu + Po Jun in the Life Palace really not hold on to money?
When the old texts say money comes and goes for Wu Qu + Po Jun, they mean large cash flows and many ups and downs, not that saving is impossible. The real picture depends on the Wealth and Property Palaces and the transformations, and on whether the person deliberately builds savings and safeguards. Knowing that you tend to want to spend is itself the first step to keeping money.
