What the relationship actually is

Take the name apart. Chou, Xu and Wei are all Earth, and each hides something else: Chou holds Gui Water and Xin Metal, Xu holds Xin Metal and Ding Fire, Wei holds Ding Fire and Yi Wood. Three earths pressed together, none yielding — "relying on power" means each has its own backing, so nobody steps back.

That fixes the shape of a punishment: not one side overpowering another, but a standoff. Nothing explodes, and nothing concludes; every party believes it is in the right and none intends to concede. Offending Tai Sui is not a sentence
