1. Why do Chou and Wei clash?
Chou and Wei sit opposite, both Earth — one damp and cold (Chou), one dry and hot (Wei). Same element, opposite temperaments, so they collide — a “peer clash” (same kind clashing). More importantly, both are vaults: locked storehouses holding the remnants of Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and wealth. When Chou and Wei clash, two storehouses knock open and what is inside spills out.
